Chukhur Hamam
Dome Bath (Red Bath), Guba The Dome Bath stands in the center of Guba, at the corner of Musabekov and Ardabil streets. It was built in the 19th century and served as a working bathhouse until 1980. Restoration began again in 2015, funded jointly by the U.S. Embassy's Cultural Heritage Preservation Fund and Azerbaijan's Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The bath is built of red brick, which is why locals often call it the Red Bath. It is a single-story building with one entrance and six windows. Inside are a central hall, four rooms for men and three rest rooms, and the walls are decorated with traditional Azerbaijani ornaments. Two domes rise above the building and reach 9 meters at their highest point. The bath was heated with firewood. Heat-resistant bricks were laid along the basement, so the same fire warmed both the rooms and the floor.
