We started our travel from Shamakhy, the city in the North of Azerbaijan (Caucasus). The road to mountains was brought us to Demirchi village which was isolated many centuries in the mountains from another parts of country like another villages after along the road also isolated because was no roads to there before times. But now new made asphalt road connect these villages between and with center of region. The Demirchi village has new opened museum where exhibiting local things representing history and traditions of this village. Near to this village there are nature reserve where inhabited wild Gazelles.
The next of the once isolated villages is Lahij. There are many old and modern settlements with different specification. But settlements like Lahij is finding very rarely. Because the Lahij village was settled about 1500 years ago in Sassanian Empire time and is located in area isolated by mountains and has specific architecture and culture. The village has sewage system was built more than thousand years. They have also special building technology used when make their houses. This technology is preventing buildings from destroying by earthquakes. The people in this village are specializing in copper-smith profession given them from generations. But not only it. They were famous making steel arms and armor. Now they are making different winter clothes from sheepskin and are weaving warm socks. There are many workshops along the paved streets of the village where they sold their products. There are also shops where they sold many different herbs collected from mountains.
These villages have own languages saved from Sassanian time.
